Term: LCoS (liquid crystal on silicon)

Similar technology to liquid-crystal display (LCD) but uses a light source reflected from the LCD panel rather than shining through it. Also known as D-ILA (direct-drive image light amplifier). Capable of performance comparable to DLP and LCD display.
