Term: DLP (digital light processing)

A TV projection technology developed by Texas Instruments that uses a light source (projector bulb) bounced off the surface of a tiny chip, a digital micro-mirror device (DMD) whose surface is covered by many thousands of tiny, moveable mirrors. Maintenance-free and capable of bright, high-contrast images with good blacks and rich color.
